I Am A Man Of Constant Sorrow
this is a good song with a catchy beat
Like You Love Me
Lucie Silvas is one singer, I must admit, I really enjoy listening to..there is something about her that draws me, I am mesmerised! Help!
Across the bridge
If Life is a journey, then most of us are weary travellers and sometimes Life is a Sentence to be lived..lucky those who learn and those of us who fail to...we live all over again. I find this song meaningful and at the same time brings back childhood memories..

Diamonds and Rust
Down by the banks of the Ohio
I recall a gypsy woman
This is one of my fav karaoke number..just the right pitch for me..and I do like Dan Seals, Don Williams and Kenny Rogers for the story they narrate through their songs.
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
Declan Galbraight.
You're all I need
Angami Cowherd Song
This is a traditional Cowherd Song sung by an Elder Sister -Ketuoravi-ü Marina. Angamis don't exactly use drums but this version is a sample for an animation film which I mixed using Fruity loops.

If You Were A Sailboat-Katie Melua
This song is relatively newer compared to my ancient collection but has a old jazzy feel to it...hmmm, my collections must be boring you to death by now, that is, if you are still around;)
If you're a cowboy I would trail you,
If you're a piece of wood I'd nail you to the floor.
If you're a sailboat I would sail you to the shore.
If you're a river I would swim you,
If you're a house I would live in you all my days.
If you're a preacher I'd begin to change my ways.
Sometimes I believe in fate,
But the chances we create,
Always seem to ring more true.
You took a chance on loving me,
I took a chance on loving you.
If I was in jail I know you'd spring me
If I was a telephone you'd ring me all day long
If was in pain I know you'd sing me soothing songs.
Sometimes I believe in fate,
But the chances we create,
Always seem to ring more true.
You took a chance on loving me,
I took a chance on loving you.
If I was hungry you would feed me
If I was in darkness you would lead me to the light
If I was a book I know you'd read me every night
If you're a cowboy I would trail you,
If you're a piece of wood I'd nail you to the floor.
If you're a sailboat I would sail you to the shore.
If you're a sailboat I would sail you to the shore
GreenFields-The Brothers Four
Remember my old collections...man, I'm like a 60's Jukebox. This particular song evokes a nostalgic feeling, takes me back to the days spent in my small 'hamlet' in Dimapur. I would spend most of my time along the 'Chathe' river..would sit on the rope bridge and ponder...Time Flies like an arrow but Fruit Flies like a banana:)
Once there were green fields kissed by the sun
Once there were valleys where rivers used to run
Once there were blue skies with white clouds high above
Once they were part of an everlasting love
We were the lovers who strolled through green fields
Green fields are gone now, parched by the sun
Gone from the valleys where rivers used to run
Gone with the cold wind that swept into my heart
Gone with the lovers who let their dreams depart
Where are the green fields that we used to roam
I'll never know what made you run away
How can I keep searching when dark clouds hide the day
I only know there's nothing here for me
Nothing in this wide world, left for me to see
Still I'll keep on waiting until you return
I'll keep on waiting until the day you learn
You can't be happy while your heart's on the roam
You can't be happy until you bring it home
Home to the green fields and me once again
Boogie Street - Leonard Cohen
As always,The Lyrical Quality of Leonard Cohen would prompt me to share with you his numbers often. Hope you enjoy too.
O Crown of Light, O Darkened One,
I never thought we’d meet.
You kiss my lips, and then you're gone:
I’m back on Boogie Street.
A sip of wine, a cigarette,
And then it’s time to go.
I tidied up the kitchenette;
I tuned the old banjo.
I’m wanted at the traffic-jam.
They’re saving me a seat.
I’m what I am, and what I am,
Is back on Boogie Street.
And O my love, I still recall
The pleasures that we knew;
The rivers and the waterfall,
Wherein I bathed with you.
Bewildered by your beauty there,
I’d kneel to dry your feet.
By such instructions you prepare
A man for Boogie Street.
O Crown of Light, O Darkened One…
So come, my friends, be not afraid.
We are so lightly here.
It is in love that we are made;
In love we disappear.
Tho’ all the maps of blood and flesh
Are posted on the door,
There’s no one who has told us yet
What Boogie Street is for.
O Crown of Light, O Darkened One,
I never thought we’d meet.
You kiss my lips, and then it’s done:
I’m back on Boogie Street.
A sip of wine, a cigarette,
And then it’s time to go . . .
A Change Is Gonna Come-Sam Cooke
This song is among the top listed songs in the last 100 years and rightly so..there is something very powerful about this number..My Bangalore days..I needed this song:)
I was born by the river in a little tent
Oh and just like the river I've been running ever since
It's been a long, a long time coming
But I know a change gonna come, oh yes it will
It's been too hard living but I'm afraid to die
Cause I don't know what's up there beyond the sky
It's been a long, a long time coming
But I know a change gonna come, oh yes it will
I go to the movie and I go downtown
Somebody keep telling me don't hang around
It's been a long, a long time coming
But I know a change gonna come, oh yes it will
Then I go to my brother
And I say brother help me please
But he winds up knocking me
Back down on my knees
Ohhhhhhhhh.....
There been times that I thought I couldn't last for long
But now I think I'm able to carry on
It's been a long, a long time coming
But I know a change gonna come, oh yes it will
